Entertainment on Ice Performance camp (2022)
After two tough Corona Years, we are preparing for another winter full of Entertainment on Ice Shows. To get the artists ready again, we organized the second edition of the Performance Camp on September 2-3-4, 2022 at the Vechtsebanen Utrecht. A great weekend!

On August 27 and 28, 2020, a skating camp focusing on the theme of performance was organized for the first time. The Entertainment on Ice Performance Camp content consisted of on- and off-ice sessions taught by various national and international workshop leaders.
2019
Saint on Ice Autotron i.s.m. van Hoorne Entertainment (2019)
On November 22, 23 and 24, 2019, seven spectacular Sinterklaas shows on ice took place at the Autotron in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. During the ice show people sang along with the funniest Sinterklaas songs, the puppets did stunts on the ice and the whole family was taken on an Old Dutch winter skating adventure.
Dancing on Ice - SBS6- trainership (2019)
Another new season of Dancing on Ice began from December 7, 2019. This is a program in which several Dutch celebrities will take a chance on figure skating. The famous Dutchmen were trained in the shortest amount of time to participate in this competition. We as Entertainment on Ice were also a big part of this spectacle!
Development of ST1 Training i.c.w. the KNSB (2019)
For beginning trainers, the KNSB offers the Skating Trainer Level 1 course. This training, formerly Skating Supervisor Level 1, was renewed this season. Initial reactions to the new course have been very positive. The training is designed primarily for novice trainers. The training was developed with several trainers from multiple disciplines and in consultation with the following associations: District Sassenheim, STV Lekstreek, Baanvereniging Utrecht, Stokvisdennen and Baanvereniging Hoorn.
Develop IJSTIJD lesson cards in cooperation with the KNSB (2019)
IJSTIJD is responding to society’s efforts to get youth to exercise more. Sports are good for a child’s physical, mental and social development. Skating represents fun on the ice, coordination, strength and speed. Skating is in the DNA of the Dutchman. If it freezes for one night, many dream of touring on natural ice and the Elfstedentocht.
2018
The Eleven Cities Experience i.c.w. Sport Fryslan for the European Sports For All Games project (2018).
Several places in Europe practice sports specific to that region, but which otherwise few people have heard of. They are fun, spectacular, exciting, funny variations of other sports or original, athletic games and feats of strength. In 2018, during the year that Leeuwarden-Fryslân is European Capital of Culture, dozens of regional sports were brought to the Netherlands and can be introduced to a variety of regional sports in the event called European Sports for All Games.
IJSTIJD Thialf skating theater i.c.w. Thialf and EHProductions (2018)
One hundred skating and non-skating actors, musicians and acrobats were featured in a short and powerful spectacle on the ice. The ice hockey rink was transformed into a theater especially for this performance. The performance IJSTIJD Thialf is about the ice master of Thialf who shares his memories with the audience and ends up in a special dream world full of fantasy.
The Silver Ball (the world's fastest skating show) Theater act (2018)
Sprinting, straightforward. That is the essence of skating and that is The Silver Ball. You won’t see the spectacular races over 100 meters with three skaters in the track at the same time anywhere else in the world! Four laps were run during the competition. After each circuit, skaters drop out. In the end, the three fastest ladies and gentlemen remain. They will determine in the finals who wins the coveted silver ball! The audience stands directly against the cushions during the race and feels the ice splash at the start!
The Frisian Skating Battle i.c.w. NDC Media Group (2018)
At the Elfstedenhal in Leeuwarden Sunday afternoon, 22 schoolchildren stood in the finals. Twenty of them had qualified through semifinals, two received wildcards. A total of three hundred children participated. Hundreds of parents and other family members, acquaintances and friends crowded the stands.
Figure Skating for Dummies for NOS.nl (2018)
Figure skating, Van Beuzekom explains, consists of four basic elements: jumps, pirouettes, steps and interpretation to music. These basic elements are used to create a series, which is also called a freestyle. During the Winter Olympics, competitors competed in a short (2 minute 50) or free freestyle (average 4 minutes). In the short freestyle, skaters must show mandatory elements. In the longer free freestyle, the skaters have more freedom. They must show as many as three pirouettes and six or seven jumps, including three combination jumps and a passing series. Actually comparable to a coloring page, says Van Beuzekom. “First you work out the obligatory elements, the lines, and then you color the lines in the choreography to match the chosen music.”
KPN kick-Off Final Act on The Coolest Job in the Netherlands (2018)
The dream of one day hosting an All-Around World Skating Championship in Amsterdam’s Olympic Stadium and bringing innovation to the sport of skating. In 2014, we organized “The Coolest Job in the Netherlands. With 108,000 recreational skaters and 45,000 visitors during the KPN NK Allround & Sprint, it was a great success and made the hearts of skating loving Holland beat faster.
100%NL Freestyle tour through the Netherlands i.s.m. the KNSB (2018)
The Freestyle Ice Skaters Eindhoven impressed the audience with their spectacular moves on the ice. During the “100% NL Freestyle Battle” these freestyle skaters had already provided many exciting moments on a number of IJSTIJD!-courses in the Netherlands.
2017
Experiment on Ice (2017)
An international group of (art) skaters and artists teamed up for two days of experimentation on the ice floor, exploring new forms of expression. After the first day – on Dec. 14 – the participants gathered at the MAF Café to talk about their first experiences and how the collaboration went. They also presented the first innovations right then.
ISU Challenge Cup Gala (2017)
Uithof in The Hague by Rabobank-supported Challenge Cup place. The Challenge Cup is normally a competition in which young, emerging talents ages 10 through seniors have the opportunity to compete against their fellow athletes at the global level. In addition, the competition serves as preparation and final qualification for the top international skaters at the World Championships.
The moment where theater and
Theater on ice provides a magical way of storytelling. The realization of our theater productions allowed us to tell the story of the Elfstedentocht in the Elfstedenhal Leeuwarden in 2016 to more than 10,000 visitors, and in 2018 we took some 1,500 visitors into the story of the vanished IJSTIJD in Thialf Heerenveen.
