Grand announcement Elfsteden-Experience 2020
In 2020, there should be a large-scale theater production about the Elfstedentocht. For the 2020 Elfsteden Experience spectacle, a new theater will be built with an ice floor and space for 1,500 visitors.
The organizers, who also organized the Tocht van Morgen last year, draw inspiration from the musical Soldier of Orange. The organization has also partnered with the executive producer of this musical. Soldaat van Oranje has sold out for years and so should the 2020 Eleven Cities Experience. The musical Soldier of Orange required 9.5 million euros in seed capital. The show about the Elfstedentocht should also be a multi-million dollar project.
Meanwhile, preparations for Elfsteden Experience 2020 have begun. The script should be finished next year. Creative producer Madelène van Beuzekom says the show won’t let people go.
