The IJSTIJD! project is an initiative of the KNSB, with mobile ice rinks in village and city centers across the country forming IJSTIJD! Through a collaboration between the KNSB, Radio 100%NL, The Freestyle Skaters Eindhoven and Entertainment on Ice, a tour has been set up in which the Freestyle Ice Skaters Eindhoven will visit a large number of IJSTIJD ice rinks for a short demonstration show in the form of a battle of Freestyle Ice Skating.
Freestyle BMX, inlineskating or skateboarding everyone knows, but that which is done on bike, skate or board can of course also be done on skates. A mix of ice hockey, art riding and breakdance is perhaps the best description. In a short demonstration show, they demonstrate their skills on the ice. After the show, they will give the audience in attendance tips and tricks to get started with Freestyle Ice Skating themselves as well. Guts are a prerequisite, though, because Freestyle Ice Skating involves a lot of trial and error.
